A Heritage® heat pump works all year ‘round, cooling your home in the summer and heating it in the winter. But, unlike a furnace, a heat pump doesn’t burn natural gas to create heat. It uses electricity.
The Heat Pump is matched with one of our Freedom furnaces. When the outdoor temperature drops below 35+/- degrees F., the heat pump stops and the furnace takes over the task of heating the home. Since Washington & Oregon have experienced severe increase in natural gas prices, you will find a Hybrid System to be extremely cost effective to operate.
Our full line of heat pumps offer efficiencies of 8.3 to 9.65 HSPF, and 13 to 17.65 SEER. You have a wide range of comfort choices to select from, ranging from our single-stage Heritage® heat pumps, up to our two-compressor model, which offers two-stage cooling and heating.
